About Our Care Agency
The idea for our Agency division was born when Zoe Wickens, who had worked alongside Tim Wilson for many years in the regulated side of the business, reunited over pancakes at The Orchard Café.
Together, they envisioned an agency that would supply fully trained, regulated temporary staff to care homes, treating each placement with the same standards and considerations as if the homes were our own.
We provide temporary staff, fully trained to a regulated standard, to care homes, ensuring our agency workers are integrated, valued, and supported to meet the highest standards.
Whether at home or in residential care, our commitment remains the same: to deliver safe, professional, and compassionate care.
Assist Care traces its roots back to 1998, when we first opened in Worthing, West Sussex, as a provider of care at home.
Since then, we have supported more than 13,000 people through privately funded care, social services, and the NHS, including older people, those with lifelong disabilities, and individuals returning home from Worthing Hospital, St Richard’s, and East Surrey Hospital.
Being always mindful of our clients’ regulated responsibilities, we are experienced in managing safeguarding, Section 42 enquiries, notifications, incident reports, or HR management issues that arise, and we can provide not only our workers, but also expert guidance and genuine support at moments of need.
Our agency workers are not simply “temps” outside the team, but integral professionals who contribute meaningfully, even in the toughest regulatory challenges.
We are proud to be an ethical employer, ensuring our colleagues are valued and supported.
Unusually for temps, we extend our Employee Assistance Programme, providing free counselling and support services.
All of our recruiters, managers and on-call members have a caring background.
Without our dedicated team, we would not be the company of caring professionals we are today.
